A ghostly wandering [archetype, techne, war, literature] whispers, sometimes barely audible (thin), periodically radically pervasive. Like an arrester he is struck by these faint eidolons before passing them on to his work. Gathering found and constructed objects, digital and audio work, and with an occasional performative aspect, an attempt is made to draw these out, or arrange a trap. His task is telling the stories of these characters that come - through their eyes, the eyes of the past, or the eyes of the latent observer. The characters can possess his body, if necessary. His works, labyrinth-like, fold within themselves and within each other, schizophrenically swaying between 'out there' and 'in here'. Like a natural philosophy, a mythologized and mythologizing thread is dragged, through the muck of history and the black of tellers, rock and carved alike. He is not an archivist, this (history) is living and can as such be applied, exploited even. Facsimiled, to parallelize and softly brush up against. Rover Indigo’s role is to use it in service of itself, bringing to light its mumbles, and to intervene in its narrative, placing his work in time in turn.
